Our Story

Hazel & Holly began with roots deep in Fort Worth, Texas, where I was born and raised. From an early age, I was drawn to building, whether it was tinkering, repairing, or imagining how things could be crafted better. That passion led me to my first job at just 14 years old, working in a classic car restoration shop. Surrounded by chrome, engines, and timeless designs, I learned the value of patience, precision, and respect for materials.

My journey continued at McPherson College in Kansas, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Restoration Technology. Immersed in the world of classic cars, I honed my skills in craftsmanship and restoration, developing an eye for detail and an appreciation for the artistry of the past. For several years, I worked in the industry, breathing life back into vehicles that carried history in every curve and line.

Yet, over time, I felt a pull toward a different path, one that allowed me to merge my love of history with my hands‑on creativity in a new way. Furniture became that canvas. Unlike cars, furniture lives in the heart of a home, shaping daily life while carrying stories across generations. I wanted to create pieces that weren’t just functional, but that spoke to tradition, culture, and timeless design.

Hazel & Holly was born from that vision: a workshop dedicated to crafting fine, story‑driven furniture that honors the past while serving the present. Each piece reflects not only the skills I’ve carried from years of restoration work, but also the passion I have for history and the artistry of wood. From Fort Worth to Renaissance faires and craft shows, Hazel & Holly is more than a business; it’s a continuation of a lifelong journey in craftsmanship, built to inspire and endure.
